Reheating Instructions
Always follow standard safety guidelines and common sense when heating food.
Bake at Home entrees and sides include cooking/baking instructions.
Other items that are cooked and need reheating can be reheated a number of ways:
If you wish to serve our food in your own casserole dish, transfer the food to your oven-safe container before heating.
Entrees in our black & gold or aluminum containers can reheat in the oven with the plastic lid removed.
For most dishes, we recommend reheating at 300 degrees for 20-30 minutes, covered loosely with foil, checking for an internal temperature of 165 with a quick read thermometer. Larger quantities of food will take longer to warm through.
Soups, gravies and sauces in our deli containers can reheat on the stove top in a stockpot or sauce pan under low to medium heat. If you have a quick read thermometer, heat to a temperature of at least 165, or a low simmer.
Quiches can reheat several ways: Reheat whole 9-inch quiches, covered loosely with foil, in a 300 degree oven for 20-30 minutes. Single serving quiches will warm through in 12-15 minutes. A single slice of a 9-inch quiche can warm in the microwave, in the oven or in a cast iron skillet for 5-8 minutes. Transfer the cast iron skillet to the oven on low broil for 2-3 minutes to give the quiche a nice finish.
Microwave ovens vary. Therefore, we do not have specific microwave times for reheating, but suggest reheating to an internal temperature of 165 degrees in a microwave-safe container.
